Bunker sales at the Port of Rotterdam during 2Q 2017 have dipped slightly year-on-year, according to official data released by the Port.

Total sales for the period were 2.49 million cubic metres (cbm), comprised of 2,082,141 million cbm of fuel oil sales and 385,446 cbm of distillate sales.

This compares to total bunker sales of 2.53 million cbm for the three months in 2016, comprised of 2.15 million cbm of fuel oil sales and 377,917 cbm of distillate sales.

Sequentially, overall sales were flat with 1Q 2017's 2.48 million cbm of sales.

While Rotterdam's sales have dipped in recent times, it is not clear how ARA volumes as a whole have faired.

While Rotterdam publishes detailed bunker sales figures, the ports of Antwerp and Amsterdam have both told Ship & Bunker they do not keep such records.
