GOIL Appoints New COO, Alex Josiah Adzew

Bunker player Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has appointed Alex Josiah Adzew as the company's COO, with effect from October 1, 2016, local media reports.
Adzew served as Fuel Marketing Manager at GOIL until his appointment, and is the company's first COO.
In his new role, Adzew is said to be directly responsible for the general operations of the company, reporting to the Group CEO.
Adzew’s appointment is noted to come at a time when GOIL is eyeing expansion and market growth.
In July, Ship & Bunker reported that Patrick Akorli, Managing Director of the GOIL, said the company was ready to seize the opportunity to extend its presence and take charge of the local bunker market.
