Uniper SE (Uniper) is increasing the supply of ultra low sulfur fuel oil (ULSFO) from the UAE as the company boosts production at its Fujairah facility, Reuters reports.

A source has told Reuters that Uniper has chartered the Aframax vessel Daytona to transport ULSFO from its Fujairah facilities to Europe.

Data from VesselsValue shows Daytona is currently laden and bound for Gibraltar.

Uniper's Fujairah facility, which began operations at the beginning of this year, is reported to have a production capacity of about 300,000 tonnes of ULSFO per month.

While Uniper has not provided any comment on the facility's operations, two different sources have suggested it is likely that the facility is not operating at full capacity considering Fujairah's current estimated export volumes of ULSFO.
