Global marine fuel supplier and trading company Monjasa has appointed a new trading director in Singapore.
Simone Piredda has been appointed trading director in Singapore, replacing Morten Jacobsen, who is moving to a new role in the group’s offshore logistics business, the firm said in a LinkedIn post on Monday.
Piredda relocates from Dubai, where he spent eight years as trading manager for West Africa at Monjasa.
Jacobsen was Monjasa’s first employee in Singapore in 2010 and helped build its presence across Asia.
"Today, our Asia platform spans across Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo and supplies 1.5 million tonnes of marine fuels yearly," Monjasa said.
James Watkins has been promoted to trading manager in Dubai, where he will lead Monjasa’s West Africa activities.
