Indian marine fuel company Bunkerworks Marine Services Pvt Ltd has appointed a new managing director after a buyout by one of the firm's co-founders.

Raj Kiran Wuddi has bought out Arjan Sundar's holding in Bunkerworks, as well as sister companies Bargeworks Pvt Ltd and Clean Slate Fuels Pvt Ltd, and is now managing director of the three firms, a company representative told Ship & Bunker.

The buyout was completed on April 1, 2025, which marked the end of Sundar's involvement with the companies, as well as the end of his responsibility for the companies' obligations and the companies' liability for his actions.

"This buyout allows us to streamline our strategic vision and accelerate our growth in the marine services market," Wuddi said.

"I want to sincerely thank Arjun for his valuable contributions to building these companies, and I wish him the absolute best in all his future endeavours. Our commitment to our clients and partners remains stronger than ever."

Day-to-day operations, ongoing voyages, charters, supply commitments, and all current client and vendor agreements remain unaffected by the change.

Bunkerworks was founded in 2020 as a marine fuel and lubricant trading firm in India.
