Genoil Boosts Management Team with New Special Adviser

Canada-based Genoil Inc. (Genoil), which produces low sulfur fuel products, today announced that Douglas A. Phillips has been appointed as special adviser to the company's management team.

In his new role, Phillips will provide strategic input on major transactions and provide advice Genoil's top management.

"Phillips has a distinguished track record in business counsel, having served a wide variety of domestic and foreign companies in the areas of accounting and auditing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate structurings," explains Genoil.

Phillips has served as the Chairman, CEO, and Managing Partner of U.S.-based WeiserMazars LLP, Co-CEO and the Vice Chairman of Mazars SCRL, and most recently as CEO of GYST Advisors LLC, a management consulting firm specialising in strategy, business development, mergers and acquisitions, financial performance and risk management.

"The level of interest in Genoil's Hydroconversion Unit has been growing steadily in line with the global demand for cleaner energy and low sulphur products," said Bruce Abbott, COO of Genoil.

"Doug's high level of experience in strategic business development and finance will add real value to Genoil as we drive continued growth and negotiate on future deals."

Last month, Genoil announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bomin Group (Bomin) for the development of low sulfur fuel products in preparation for the implementation of the 0.50 percent global sulfur cap on marine fuel in 2020
