Russia's Gazprom and Japan's Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) Thursday held a working meeting at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017 to discuss further steps under the companies' Agreement of Strategic Cooperation, which includes support for the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom, and Tatsuo Yasunaga, Representative Director, CEO of Mitsui, were both in attendance at the meeting.

"The parties also exchanged views on the progress of joint assessments of partnership prospects in the field of LNG bunkering," stated Gazprom of the meeting.

As Ship & Bunker reported in September, Gazprom signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsui to cooperate on feasibility and marketing studies related to LNG bunkering in Russia's Far East and the Asia-Pacific region.
