AIDA's LNG-Powered Newbuilding to Be Named AIDAnova

AIDA Cruises Wednesday announced that the first ship in its series of "nearly zero" emission liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered newbuilds will be named AIDAnova.

In September, Ship & Bunker reported that Carnival Corporation & plc (Carnival) had a total of seven new LNG-powered cruise ships on order across four of its 10 cruise brands, with the first of these set to be delivered to AIDA Cruises and Costa Cruises.
