Global marine fuel supplier and trading company Monjasa has added 11 more people to its trading and marketing staff from the most recent iteration of its training programme.

11 of the 12 trainees taken onboard in the most recent Monjasa Oil and Shipping Traineeship programme have now been given permanent positions with the company, it said in a LinkedIn post on Tuesday.

The two-year programme ended on June 18.

The firm has now seen a total of 51 trainees graduating from the programme since its launch.

The new Monjasa staff are as follows:

  • Nikulás Torfi Guðmundsson (trader in Dubai)
  • Dylan Wright (trader in Dubai)
  • Oliver Erringsoe (trader in Limassol)
  • Evangelos Georgiou (trader in Athens)
  • Wong Zi Jian Shawn (trader in Singapore)
  • Jia Hui Gan (trader in Singapore)
  • Lin Deng (Lynn) (marketing executive in Shanghai)
  • Simon Mejer van Vliet (trader in Fredericia)
  • Tomás Abdiel Lozano (trader in Panama)
  • Matt Cooper (trader in New York)
  • Alan Jones (trader in Houston)

"Think of the colleague who guided you through these two years, the manager who looked out for you, the mentor who believed in you," Tracy Tan, group HR director at Monjasa, said in a speech at the graduation ceremony last week.

"Remember how that felt. Now it's your turn to be that person for someone else."
