Gabadi S.L. (Gabadi) says it has joined forces with Hankuk Carbon to work together on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering market - a cooperation specifically related to small and medium-scale carrier to carrier LNG fuel supply.

"With this agreement, a new solution is offered, due to the combination of the LNG insulation manufacturing technology from Hankuk Carbon, with the membrane tanks installation technology from Gabadi," said Antonio Llago, CEO of Gabadi.

"Without a doubt, we will occupy a dominant position, owing to this cooperation."

Gabadi says the two companies are confident that their cooperation will help obtain contracts related to LNG bunkering around the world, including U.S., China, and Europe.

In June, Ship & Bunker reported that Gabadi - a Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) outfitter - and China's AojiHeng Offshore Engineering (AJH) had launched a joint venture (JV), Gabadi Marine Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd (Gabadi Marine), aimed at the gas-fuelled marine market.
