The International School of LNG (isLNG) says the Spanish Maritime Safety Agency (Salvamento Marítimo) and Enagás presented on the institution at the International Maritime Organization's (IMO's) 71st session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 71).

"The school arises from the collaboration between Salvamento Marítimo and Enagás in the Core LNGas hive project and offers face-to-face, online and practical training provided by specialised teachers in the field," explained isLNG.

With a campus in Gijón, the school makes facilities of the Jovellanos Centre and the regasification plant of Enagás in Musel available to it students.

At MEPC 71, the organisations also presented on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) initiative, Core LNGas hive project.

"Both the European Core LNGas hive project and the International School of LNG promote the implementation of LNG as an alternative marine fuel," said isLNG.
