Wednesday May 6, 2026
Chile-based marine fuel supplier Copec Marine has launched a new bunkering service in Mejillones, located along the Pacific trade route south of Callao.
The service will operate from April through October using the bunker vessel Don Pancho II, the company told Ship & Bunker on Tuesday.
The company said the operation is designed to offer prompt bunker supply without detours or congestion delays.
The Don Pancho II has a total product capacity of 5,000 mt and supplies straight-run refined fuels, according to the company.
The tanker is capable of delivering VLSFO at 450 m3/hour and MGO at 350 m3/hour.
Copec already offers bunker fuels at ports across Chile via barge, truck and ex-pipe.
