New Jersey-based fuel testing and inspection company Seahawk Services, says the company set to open a second marine fuel testing laboratory this October in the New York Harbor area of North Jersey.

"The new operation will have a complete marine fuel laboratory capable of testing to the full ISO 8217:2012 standard and with highly experienced staff," said President and founder Wajdi Abdmessih.

"Our second office will be sited near local oil storage terminals so we can provide a prompt and efficient turnaround for our inspection and fuel analysis services."

The company says it has also hired Jeff Pase to fulfil the role of Operations Manager to oversee the Seahawk Services inspection and bunker survey division.

Pase is said to have 25 years of experience in the inspection sector, and has held operational roles with numerous inspection companies, such as SGS North America Inc. and SAYBOLT/Core Laboratories Inc.

"Jeff is a key addition to the Seahawk Services team. His industry knowledge and experience will be invaluable as Seahawk looks to build upon an excellent first year of operation by expanding its business reach and offering in the key New York / Philadelphia and Baltimore region," said Abdmessih.
