Over 170 Delegates and "an Impressive Array of speakers" Set to Gather for First Ever GreenTech Conference on the U.S. West Coast
In a little over two weeks time over 170 delegates are set to gather in Seattle, U.S., for the annual GreenTech 2015 conference, marking the first time the event will be held on the U.S. West Coast, Green Marine told Ship & Bunker on Monday.
"GreenTech 2015 has an impressive array of speakers, panelists, and exhibitors to discuss current achievements and upcoming challenges for continuing to improve marine transportation's sustainability," said Green Marine.
The carbon neutral annual conference is now in its eighth year, and Green Marine says for 2015 it will be taking "a step further" with additional parallel sessions of specific interest to ship owners, ports, and terminal operators.
The conference will also feature key insights into global warming impacts with climate journalist Bernice Notenboom.
"I'm looking forward to hear her share some of her journey's highlights and findings. It's impressive to know, in 2008, she became the first woman to reach the North, South and Cold Pole (in Siberia) and cross Greenland's icecap on skis all within one year ", said Manon Lanthier, communications manager, Green Marine.
"GreenTech 2015 is shaping up to be a premier event within this year's marine transportation calendar and a fantastic opportunity to reconnect or meet for the first time with numerous people dedicated to improving their industry's sustainability."
GreenTech 2015 will take place at the Seattle Renaissance Hotel, May 27-29, 2015.
