Monjasa Group (Monjasa) has issued court proceedings for the arrest of a Bangladeshi bulker over an unpaid bunker bill in the amount of $192,819, according to Gujarat High Court documents.

The bulker, Crystal Gold, is believed to be owned by Chittagong-based Crystal Navigation Ltd. (Crystal).

Monjasa is understood to have supplied the ship with 260 tonnes of IFO380 fuel at Singapore in May 2014.

Reports suggest the vessel has been placed under arrest in India.

Tradewinds late-December reported that the 1986-built, 27,600 deadweight tonne Crystal Gold had only just been released from arrest over another unpaid bill.

Crystal agreed to settle out of court in that instance with Cochin-based Oriental Exim Agency for $10,063.

Last week Monjasa announced it had opened a new office in Panama.
