Another Ship Arrested in Singapore

A second vessel has been arrested in Singapore in the space of two days following action by law firm Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP (Rajah & Tann), according to records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The Singapore flagged passenger ship Wavemaster 7 was arrested on September 19, 2014.

The exact reasons for the arrest are not known at this time.

Rajah & Tann were also involved in the arrest of an Antigua and Barbuda flagged, German owned vessel on September 17, 2014.

Official records show 85 vessels were arrested in Singapore last year, a 25 percent drop in arrests year-on-year from 2012.
