Kaohsiung Bunker Barge to Go Out of Service for Maintenance
Taiwan’s CPC Corporation will temporarily take its bunker barge Bao Shan No. 2 out of service at Kaohsiung Port from October 12-17 for unexpected equipment maintenance.
The suspension is expected to limit CPC’s bunkering capacity at Kaohsiung during the period, the firm said in an advisory to customers on Wednesday.
“During this period, our bunkering capacity within Kaohsiung Port will be limited,” CPC said in the advisory.
“If you have any bunkering requirements during this period, please make arrangements as early as possible and allow sufficient time for barge scheduling.”
CPC Corporation offers bunker fuels at ports including Kaohsiung, Taichung, Keelung and Suao/Hualien.
Last month, the company announced plans to start offering marine biofuel bunkering at Kaohsiung.
