New Chief Executive at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) today announced effective January 1, 2014 Andrew Tan Kok Kiong will be the organisation's new Chief Executive.

The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Environment Agency (NEA) replaces Lam Yi Young, who has been at the helm since May 1, 2009.

Tan is currently the Deputy Secretary (Special Duties) in the Ministry of Transport and holds a concurrent appointment as Fellow in the Civil Service College.

The Ministry of Transport said it "would like to put on record its appreciation to Mr Lam Yi Young for his significant contributions in his four and a half years as the Chief Executive of MPA."
