Ship Arrested in Singapore over Weekend

A vessel has been detained in Singapore over the weekend.

The fishing vessel, Shye Chan no.6, was detained on September 30 by local law firm Gurbani & Co, court records show.

It is understood to be operated by Taiwanese interests.

The circumstances surrounding its detention in the port are unclear but are likely to involve payments for goods and services.

Another recent arrest saw a bulk carrier held in Singapore on September 24, according to court records.
