Handysize Bulk Carrier Arrested in Singapore

The bulk carrier Southern Spirit has been arrested in Singapore, according to the latest records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.
The 1998-built Handysize is controlled by Taiwan-based World Way Marine and valued at $2.45 million, according to VesselsValue.com.
The 29,500 dwt Southern Spirit was detailed following action taken by local law firm Gurbani & Co LLC, with the arrest taking place on October 12, 2016 at 2:55 PM local time.
The circumstances leading to the arrest are currently unknown, but such action is common in instances of payment dispute.
