Kamji Marine Becomes Green Award's First Chinese Incentive Provider

Green Award Monday announced that Kamji Marine Agency Ltd (Kamji) has formally joined the Green Award scheme, becoming the programme's first Chinese incentive provider.

Under its new membership, husbandry agent Kamji is set to provide Green Award certificate holders with discounts of as much as 5 percent on various services.

Specifically, Green Award certified ships and offices are offered a 3 percent discount for owner matter agency, and a 5 percent discount on sludge disposal, tank cleaning, technical repair, and store and spare parts supply.

"This is an exceptional accomplishment for the social responsibility stewardship of Kamji Marine Agency. By becoming an incentive provider, they have become pioneers since they are the first company from China to join the scheme," said Captain Dimitrios Mattheou, Chairman of Green Award.

"It is a giant step for Green Award as well. Green Award is committed to sustainable future for our Planet and with this step green approach spreads to a new region reducing environmental impact and promoting safety."

Last month, Green Award announced that Danfoss IXA was also set to join Green Award's network of incentive providers, offering a 5 percent discount to ocean-going and inland navigating ships on the company's marine emission sensor, MES1001.
