European marine fuel supplier Verde Marine Energy has expanded its environmental trading services with a new desk and division in Oslo, Norway.

The company has appointed Trine Braathen as Director, Environmental Trading, to oversee trading and compliance activities across multiple sectors, with a focus on regulatory markets, it said in a LinkedIn post yesterday.

She will also support the Vertom shipping group.

“Based in Oslo, Trine will work closely with Verde Marine’s commercial, operations, and technical teams across Europe and the full group,” the company said.

“The focus will be on regulatory markets.”

The new division builds on the company’s existing B100 and biofuel supply operations, led by Christian Sterken and Joe Tierney.

The expansion aims to strengthen Verde Marine’s offering of environmental commodities and low-carbon solutions to customers in shipping, industry, land transport and aviation.

In September, Verde Marine Energy added marine lubricants to its offering.
