Danish Bunker Supplier Adds Barge, Could Bring in Six
Anders Ostergaard, co-owner and joint CEO of Denmark-based fuel supplier Monjasa, says the company is adding a second barge for fuel deliveries at the Danish port of Great Belt, Platts reports.
The new tanker, the Trefin Leader, which has a capacity around 8,000 cubic meters, will supply all intermediate fuel oil grades and marine distillates starting around February 18, 2013.
Monjasa began its bunkering operations in Great Belt at the end of January, becoming one of five suppliers there and delivering fuel from countries such as Sweden, Denmark, and Latvia.
The company, which has a total of 14 ships in its fleet, according to its website, could bring up to six barges in the future to meet the needs of its clients in Scandinavia, Ostergaard said.
Monjasa says it supplies bunkers at "almost every port in Denmark," as well as throughout Northern Europe and in many other world ports.
