H2SITE Raises Over €42 Million to Scale Hydrogen Production Technology
Hydrogen technology company H2SITE has completed the second closing of its series B funding round, raising total investment to more than €42 million.
The latest funding brings in the EIC Fund and a private investor, joining existing investors including BEV, Suma Capital, Hy24, Crane, Enagás Emprende, Calderion and CRPV, the firm said in a press release on Thursday.
The new capital will support large-scale industrial projects, expand manufacturing capacity, and accelerate the global commercialisation of its hydrogen production and separation technologies, with a focus on Asia.
In 2023, H2SITE commissioned its onboard ammonia cracking system to generate hydrogen to power a supply vessel, Bertha B.
The EIC Fund's investment builds on previous support through the EIC Accelerator programme, which helped advance H2SITE's ammonia cracking technology for low-carbon hydrogen production.
The technology is set to be deployed at the Port of Antwerp to support cleaner hydrogen supply chains for hard-to-abate industries.
