Glander Appoints Commercial Director for Europe
Global marine fuels firm Glander International Bunkering has appointed a commercial director for Europe.
Rune G. Kongstein has been promoted to the role of commercial director, Europe, effective immediately, the company said in an emailed statement on Monday.
Kongstein has worked with the firm since 2020, previously serving as managing director in Norway.
He previously held senior roles at World Fuel, Wilhelmsen Marine Fuels and Chemoil Corporation.
He brings more than 35 years of experience in marine fuels, bunkering, shipping and oil products.
The newly created role is intended to bring the company’s European commercial activities closer together while retaining local market expertise.
“Europe is becoming more complex for marine fuel buyers,” Kongstein said.
“A more coordinated approach allows us to bring together our market intelligence, relationships and supply capabilities across Europe while retaining the local expertise that remains essential in our industry.”
