Friday August 5, 2016
Market sources say Suez is now out of HFO and has tight avails of low sulfur MGO, with no restocking date confirmed, Platts reports.
Misr Petroleum Company (Misr Petroleum), said to be the main bunker supplier at Egypt's ports, has not provided comment on the situation.
According to Ship & Bunker data, indicative prices at the Middle Eastern port for IFO 380 Thursday rose to $303.50 per metric tonne (pmt) from $301 pmt the previous day, while MGO also increased Thursday to $669 pmt from $652.50 pmt on Wednesday.
This compares with an average indication of $226.50 pmt and $448.00 pmt for IFO380 and MGO respectively in the primary ports.
