Another Russian Port Posts Improved Bunker Sales

Yeysk port, based in Krasnodar Territory on the Azov Sea, is the latest Russian port to report a boost in bunker sales, according to Russian market specialist PortNews IAA.

In the first half of 2015, sales increased 20.9 percent to 10,400 tonnes which was supplied to 306 ships, compared to 8,600 tonnes of fuel supplied across 279 bunkering operations for the period in 2014.

Freight traffic at the seaport of Yeysk was said to have fallen 1.6 percent to 1,406,800 tonnes for the period.

The port is said to have 12 cargo berths, one passenger berth, and two recently completed oil terminals.

In March Ship & Bunker reported that Bunker sales in the Russian Far East almost doubled in 2014.
