Viking Cruises today announced that it has taken delivery of its fourth ocean ship, the bunker-saving Viking Sun.

The delivery ceremony took place today at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy.

The 47,800 gross tonne ship is set to be joined by two more sister ships over the next two years, making the company the largest small ship ocean cruise line by 2019.

"Designed to be environmentally friendly, Viking's ships feature energy-efficient hybrid engines, hydro-dynamically optimised streamlined hull and bow for maximum fuel efficiency and equipment that reduces exhaust pollution and meets the strictest worldwide environmental regulations," said the company.
