An LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) chartered by Spain’s SUARDIAZ Group from Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has set sail from China for Europe.

The 5,500 CEU RS Atlantico is the first PCTC newbuilding chartered by SUARDIAZ from EPS, EPS said in a LinkedIn post today.

The 190 m vessel has a gross tonnage of about 55,000 and will transport vehicles, machinery and high-and-heavy cargo for SUARDIAZ Shipping Lines.

The vessel's LNG dual-fuel capability allows it to operate on LNG as well as conventional marine fuel.

"The RS Atlantico is more than a new addition to our fleet," SUARDIAZ said in a LinkedIn post.

"It reflects our continued investment in strengthening and modernising SUARDIAZ Group’s capabilities as a global logistics provider, adapting to the evolving needs of international supply chains."
