Accelleron Gets ClassNK Certification for Engine and Emissions Tools
Accelleron has received ClassNK certification for its Tekomar XPERT Engine and Emissions Desk digital tools.
The certification covers how the systems collect, handle and analyse vessel data, as well as related security processes, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.
Tekomar XPERT Engine monitors how a ship's engine is performing and provides recommendations to improve efficiency.
It can be used with different engine makes and sizes and allows operators to compare performance across vessels and fleets.
Emissions Desk uses data from Tekomar XPERT Engine to help operators track emissions and prepare regulatory reports.
The system supports reporting under IMO and EU requirements and can transfer relevant data directly to the ClassNK MRV Portal.
Accelleron said the two tools are currently used on around 3,000 vessels.
The certification was awarded under ClassNK's Innovation Endorsement framework, which provides third-party certification for digital and other innovative maritime solutions.
