Bomin Linde LNG Becomes Nauticor Under New Branding
Hamburg-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering company Bomin Linde LNG GmbH & Co. KG (Bomin Linde) today announced that the company will be rebranded as "Nauticor – Clean shipping powered by Linde" under the name Nauticor GmbH & Co. K (Nauticor), effective April 1, 2017.
As Ship & Bunker reported in October, the Bomin Group (Bomin) sold its 50 percent stake in the bunkering company to its joint venture partner Linde AG (Linde), which now owns all shares.
"The rebranding is another step in our development and positioning in a space as dynamic as the market for LNG as a marine fuel. In this environment, the combination of a financially and technically sound partner such as Linde with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility is of great importance," said Mahinde Abeynaike, Nauticor's Managing Director.
"Our planned commissioning of the world's largest LNG refuelling ship in the coming year demonstrates that we are on course for growth."
Olaf Reckenhofer, Head of the Linde Group's gas business for Central Europe, commenting on the development, said: "Nauticor brilliantly complements our LNG business.
"In addition to our LNG terminal and our bunker barge near Stockholm, we are able to offer our customers a unique LNG supply network in the Baltic Sea region thanks to Nauticor."
