Aderco Launches Ship Emissions Monitoring and Carbon Credit Programme
Fuel additive specialist Aderco has launched its 2055G+ emissions monitoring and carbon credit programme for ships using conventional marine fuels.
The programme combines fuel treatment technology, emissions monitoring and carbon credit generation using Gold Standard methodologies, it said in an email statement on Thursday.
According to Aderco, more than 100 ships have already joined the programme, with fuel savings ranging between 2% and 5%.
The company said two fuel-saving results were verified by classification societies, including a 4.84% saving on a reefer vessel verified by American Bureau of Shipping and a 3.25% saving on a capesize vessel verified by RINA.
"The seamless 2055G+ solution is integral to asset management in an era of unpredictable fuel quality and pressure to decarbonise,” Esteve Servajean, Head of Marine at Aderco, said.
