Nord Gas Solutions to Supply LPG Fuel Systems for Eight Newbuilds
Nord Gas Solutions has won a contract to supply LPG fuel supply systems for eight new 90,000 m3 very large gas carriers (VLGCs) ordered by BW LPG.
The vessels will be built at HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Nord Gas said in an emailed update on Wednesday.
The contract, signed in August 2026, also covers cargo handling systems for the eight vessels.
The systems will be designed around BW LPG’s operational requirements, with a focus on performance, reliability and maintainability throughout the vessels’ lifecycles.
“We are very pleased that Nord Gas Solutions can once again cooperate with BW LPG on a LPG newbuilding project,” Patrick Ha, sales manager at Nord Gas Solutions, said.
Ha said BW LPG’s continued confidence in the company’s solutions reflected their performance, reliability and lifecycle value, as well as the importance of after-sales support and operational assistance.
Nord Gas Solutions has supported BW LPG’s fleet with service and after-sales support for vessels operating worldwide.
The company was formed following Mutares SE & Co’s acquisition of Wärtsilä Gas Solutions, which took effect on June 1, 2026.
