Heavy Volatility for WTI Contracts

Crude futures were mixed today as WTI contracts saw heavy volatility while Brent contracts saw little direction.

ICE contracts for November delivery stayed afloat due to the current attack of Russian warplanes engaging the ISIS group in Syria.

Brent contracts settled up $0.14 cents settling at $48.37 per barrel.

WTI contracts for November saw highs near $46.00 per barrel and lows in the high $44.00 range.

Despite the volatility the trend was down as official government data showed a rise of 4 million barrel in U.S. crude inventories last week.

Bunkers were mostly steady across the board today as both buyers and suppliers were eagerly waiting to see market direction.
