Brent Firms, But Stays Under $50/bbl
Tuesday September 8, 2015
Crude futures saw some movement today following a rally in the stock markets. \
Brent crude contracts for October delivery firmed $1.90 settling just under $50.00 per barrel.
WTI contracts for October delivery softened by $0.11 cents settling at $45.94 per barrel.
These last several weeks have been driven heavily by stock markets and we have seen massive swings both up and down.
We can expect futures to go either way anticipating EIA data on U.S. inventories.
Bunkers were firmer today in the primary ports but in the grand scheme of things, prices are still favorable to owners/operators as crude remains in the $50.00 per barrel range.
