Avenir LNG Launches Second Bunkering Vessel in China

LNG bunker supplier Avenir LNG has launched a new LNG bunkering vessel in China.
The vessel, Hull No. S1124, was launched into the water on October 12, at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co shipyard, the firm said in a LinkedIn post last week.
It is the second vessel in Avenir LNG's current newbuild series, with the first launched in July.
The company said construction would continue ahead of the vessel's planned addition to its fleet.
In March, Stolt-Nielsen agreed to sell a 50% stake in Avenir LNG to NYK under a share purchase agreement.
Avenir LNG, founded in 2017, currently owns and operates a fleet of five LNG bunkering vessels.
