Golar LNG Limited (Golar LNG) today announced the earlier than anticipated departure of floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessel Hilli Episeyo from Singapore for Cameroon - a development the company says reflects an operational decision to complete LNG bunkering in Cameroon rather than in Singapore.

In August, the company confirmed that LNG bunkers had been ordered for mid-September delivery to Hilli Episeyo.

The FLNG departed Singapore at 10 a.m. local time on October 12, with the voyage to Cameroon expected to take between 32 and 40 days.

As Ship & Bunker has reported, Keppel Offshore & Marine's (Keppel O&M) subsidiary, Keppel Shipyard Ltd. (Keppel Shipyard) undertook work on the Hilli Episeyo - hailed as the world's first such Floating Liquefaction Vessel conversion.
