Number of Accredited Bunker Suppliers in Singapore Falls to 55
The number of accredited bunker suppliers in Singapore this month has fallen to 55, from 56 last month, according to the latest information from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
The drop follows the exit of Uni Petroleum Pte Ltd who decided not renew its bunker supplier licence at the end of September, the company confirmed to Ship & Bunker.
For 2016 the MDO, MGO and MFO supplier was ranked 45th on MPA's list of bunker suppliers by volume.
Uni Petroleum is not the only supplier to have left the Singapore market this year.
At the end of August, Panoil Petroleum Pte Ltd. (Panoil Petroleum) along with top three ranked Singapore bunker supplier Universal Energy Pte Ltd (Universal Energy) also fell from the list after MPA took action following a number of indiscretions by the former suppliers.
