Global Fuel Supply Rebrands as Blue Energy Partners
Marine energy firm Global Fuel Supply has rebranded as Blue Energy Partners.
The name change is effective as of May 26, and highlights the company's shift into becoming a broader energy solution business, it said in an emailed statement.
Global Fuel Supply was founded in Copenhagen in 2022 by Bijan Shahbaz and Lamin Bara. The company now operates across seven offices on four continents, operates its own bunker barges in West Africa, runs an environmental desk, supplies ISCC-certified biofuels, and trades EU, UK, and Swiss ETS carbon credits.
Blue Energy Partners previously served as the Norway office of Global Fuel Supply, and operated as a dedicated unit focused on delivering environmental and regulatory-driven energy solutions for their partners.
“With this new chapter, our ambition is clear: to place even greater focus on partnerships - both internally within our organization and externally with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders across the industry,” Lamin Bara, CCO of Blue Energy Partners, said in the statement.
"We strongly believe that long-term success is built through trust, collaboration, and strong relationships, and our new name represents exactly that direction.”
