Japanese LNG bunkering vessel Kaguya has completed its 200th LNG bunkering operation at Mikawa Port in Japan.

The vessel carried out the 200th ship-to-ship LNG bunker supply on September 30, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) said in a press release today.

Kaguya has been operating in Japan since October 2020 and is the country’s first LNG bunkering vessel.

The vessel is owned and operated through a joint venture involving K Line, JERA Global Energy Solutions, NYK Line and Toyota Tsusho.

K Line said the service provides a stable fuel supply for LNG-fuelled vessels in the region, including its car carrier Century Highway Green.

The bunkering vessel had marked its 100th LNG bunkering operation in 2024.
