Asia's Bunker Prices Make Further Gains on Monday

Ship & Bunker data showed bunker prices across Asia continued to make gains on Monday, with IFO380 in Singapore, Busan, and Hong Kong moving up for a fifth consecutive market day.

Singapore IFO380 moved up $5.50 to $650.50 per metric tonne (pmt), rising $21.50 week-on-week, and up $27.50 month-on-month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) moved up $13.50 to $740.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $89.50 pmt. MGO moved up for a fifth consecutive market day gaining $8.00 to $971.50 pmt, $29.00 higher than last Monday.

Busan IFO380 was up $6.00 to $680.00 pmt, gaining $16.50 since last Monday, and an increase of $24.50 since January 4, 2013. LS380 rose $1.00 to $816.00 making the premium for the ECA compliant fuel $136.00 pmt. MGO gained $7.50 to $999.50 pmt, up $19.50 week-on-week.

Hong Kong IFO380 rose $4.00 to $662.00 pmt, $16.00 higher than this time last week, and up $24.00 month-on-month. MGO in the port was up for a fourth consecutive market day climbing $7.50 to $991.00 pmt, $21.00 higher than last Monday, and up $28.00 since January 4, 2013.

Tokyo IFO380 climbed for a fourth consecutive market day rising $3.00 to $694.50 pmt, an increase of $9.50 week-on-week, and $37.00 higher than this time last month. MDO in Tokyo moved up $4.50 to $989.00 pmt, up $17.00 since last Monday, and $29.00 higher than January 4, 2013.
