Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has said operations at Oman’s Mina Al Fahal terminal are continuing as normal following media reports of an explosion and a temporary halt to crude oil loading, according to local media reports.

All port activities remain unaffected and are proceeding according to standard operational procedures, media outlet Times of Oman reported on Friday.

The clarification came after media reports citing anonymous sources claimed that crude loading had been suspended between single-buoy mooring berths 1 and 2 following an alleged drone attack.

Omani authorities have not confirmed that an attack took place or identified a possible source of the reported incident. It is also unclear when the attack took place, if so.

Mina Al Fahal is Oman's primary crude oil export terminal, handling an estimated 800,000 to 900,000 bbls/day.
