Supplier Lands Bunkering Deal with Russian Navy
Tuesday October 15, 2013
LUKOIL-BUNKER LLC says its Kaliningrad branch has signed an open-end contract to provide fuel to the Russian Federation Navy's Baltic Fleet.
The branch, which has experience fuelling warships, including Gepard 3.9 class frigates, in the past, will provide the ships with low-viscosity marine fuel at the Baltic Sea port of Baltijsk.
LUKOIL BUNKER, a subsidiary of Russian oil company LUKOIL, provides marine fuel supply at Russian and Bulgarian sea and river ports and is one of the largest bunker suppliers in Russia.
LUKOIL is seeking to expand its operations through expanded production of ultra-low-sulfur diesel and bunkering along the Northern Sea Route (NSR).
