Gazprom Neft says its motor oil business will supply marine lubricants to the Russian icebreaking fleet owned by state enterprise Rosmorport under a two-year deal.

Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd. will supply motor oils and industrial oils, including lubricants, to Rosmorport's affiliates in the Northwest Basin, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Azov Basin, Azov-Chernomorsky Basin, Astrakhan, Sochi, Petropavlovsk, Vladivostok, the Far Eastern Basin, Vostok, Sakhalin, and Vanino.

"The long-term strategy of the company envisages Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd holding an 18-percent share of the Russian lubricants market by 2025," said Alexander Trukhan, general director of Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd.

"To that end we are, already, engaging with the most significant enterprises in this sector and developing new specialist market niches while, at the same time, extending our geographic reach in terms of product sales."

Gazprom Neft has also been expanding its participation in the marine fuels sector, with subsidiary Gazpromneft Marine Bunker reporting a 22 percent year-over-year increase in direct bunker fuel sales to 2.2 million tonnes in 2013.
