Gazprom Seeks New LNG Markets
Thursday November 28, 2013
Gazprom OAO is seeking new large- and small-scale markets for liquefied natural gas (LNG), oil industry news site Oil Voice reports.
The Russian gas company has expanded its participation in global LNG trade and has supplied more than 10 countries worldwide with the fuel.
Gazprom's main expansion efforts involve large-scale LNG exports to the Asia-Pacific market, which it will support by ramping up its LNG production.
At the same time, the company is organising small-scale supply of the fuel for use as bunker fuel, motor vehicle fuel, as well as household and industrial uses.
AP Møller-Maersk (Maersk) recently said it is in talks with Gazprom and other companies about the possible use of LNG as fuel for its ships.
