Burando Energies Completes First Physical Bunker Delivery in Norway
Marine fuel supplier Burando Energies has completed its first physical bunker delivery in Norway, supplying fuel to a Heerema Marine Contractors vessel in Åmøyfjorden.
The operation involved the semi-submersible crane vessel Balder and marks an expansion of Burando Energies’ physical marine fuel supply activities beyond its established operations in the ARA region, the company told Ship & Bunker on Wednesday.
“We are very proud to have carried out our first bunker operation in Norway for Heerema, where it started as an idea to expand our physical supply options to different areas it is now reality!” Duncan Huisman, sales manager at Burando Energies, said.
“We appreciate Burando Energies’ commitment to safety, flexibility and service, and congratulate their team on achieving this important milestone in Norway,” Martijn Wijdeveld, VP Supply Chain Manager & Procurement at Heerema Marine Contractors, said.
The company said it will continue supporting Heerema and other customers with future bunker requirements, including conventional and sustainable marine fuels.
In March, Burando Energies announced entry into Zeebrugge bunker market with new barge.
