Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker LLC CEO Andrei Vasilyev has said that in the first quarter of 2013 the supplier plans to buy and deploy a 3,000 dwt bunker tanker at the port of Novorossiysk, PortNews reports.

Novorossiysk is already one of the 15 sea ports and 9 river ports that the Gazprom Neft subsidiary supples in, according to its website.

Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker also says it has an 18.5 percent share of the Russian bunker market and in 2011 had a total sales volume of 2.2 million tonnes.

Last week a Gazprom chartered liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker became the first ship of its kind to sail across the Northern Sea Route, saving 40 percent on its bunker bill in the process.
