Crude Futures Continue Down, But Big Selloff Avoided

Despite negative inventory figures crude benchmarks were reluctant to fall much further on a down week.
The crude build far outgained expectations while U.S. production fell, usually a recipe for a big selloff.
However, a floor was maintained as traders already felt defeated after 3 successive negative sessions prior to today.
The market reasoned significant builds were associated to the typical slowdown in production this time of year.
