Eco-scrubber Installed on Ro-Ro Ship
Bore Ltd. has successfully installed a DeltaLangh Ltd hybrid scrubber system aboard RoRo vessel M/V Bore Song, DeltaLangh has announced.
The system reportedly operates both closed and open loop mode, and is both lightweight and has low energy consumption.
"It has lived up to our expectations: minimum sludge handling, very clean outgoing water and in that respect minimum impact on the environment," said Jörgen Mansnerus, vice-president of marine management at Bore Ltd.
"The project was handled as a turnkey project, and I am especially pleased with the short installation time, which enabled us to keep our promise to our customer."
DeltaLangh also noted that because water content in the output sludge in closed loop operation is low, waste is highly concentrated and the amount that needs to be handled ashore is minimal.
The system can be installed in about 14 days, said the company.
The contract for the scrubber system was originally awarded in September 2014.
