Oil Rebounds, but Bunkers Dip Below $400 MT
Monday December 1, 2014
After holiday weekend here in the USA, oil rebounded taking back almost half of the losses from Friday.
WTI and Brent both gained over two dollars per barrel, something we have not seen in sometime.
The news that OPEC would not change their quotas and is maintaining the price war against alternative producers, brought the complex down significantly on Friday.
This morning in the primary ports we actually saw bunkers below $400 MT.
By mid-morning, however, it was obvious that the market did not like the large decline from Friday and was pushing levels higher.
It remains to be seen how long low oil prices will be sustained, as such buyers should take opportunity when they have it.
